Mr. Oliu shared with attendees his feelings of gratitude for receiving such an important recognition to the extraordinary work of Sabadell Group and its international strategy over the last decade, which has been marked by the takeover of TSB, the UK retail bank carved out of Lloyds Banking Group.

He informed attendees that the immediate future of TBS will now focus on the migration of their technological platform to provide a better user experience and increase customer interaction with the bank.  In fact, he explained that results at the end of 2016 showed a 52% increase in sales through digital channels, which highlights the importance of digital transformation within traditional financial institutions in order to remain competitive against new players.
